Thirty Days of Fic: Day 4
01) Something from your very first fandom
02) Something from your current favorite fandom
03) Your all-time favorite fic
04) A good romance
Well, at last one that I can't really claim was a challenge. I mean, I still spent (far too much) time thinking about it, but that's just because I was sorting through bookmarks trying to decide what constituted "a good romance". Then I spake unto myself and said, "self, ninety percent of your saved fic is shippy-- just pick your favorite thing that is sweet and charming and involves hooking up and which is not already earmarked for a later day of this endeavor". That seemed a sensible plan-- too sensible, really, but I am running out of "today" because I spent all day reading fanfic.
To Have and Not to Hold, by mtemplar, is an amazing piece of Doctor Who fic. (Ten/Rose, specifically.) As is not atypical of fic I like, it's a giant bundle of h/c with a certain element of aliens-made-them-do-it, but whatever. I love this fic, and highly reccomend it.
I had more to say, but I'm so exhausted that my vision is bluring, so, you will just have to imagine my highly articulate further commentary on this subject.
