Reactions/thoughts, in no particular order:
Doctor Smith/Mrs. Smith. Hah!
Relatedly, it's nice to see that the fallout of the world's stellar handling of the 456 apparently provoked Martha to leave Unit. Well done.
Wilf is my new favorite companion of all time.
Also, I am now persuaded that not only has the show conclusively discarded the Lungbarrow hypothesis (and about damn time), but they also appear to have just told me that Rassilon is the Doctor's father. I have no idea how that works, given their existence in seperate eras, but I'm not convinced that Rassilon's respect for the sanctity of linear time is suficent to really class that as an insurmountable problem.
By my count, of the ten times the Doctor has died, at least four of them have been a direct swap of his life for his traveling companions. Clearly, company is risky.
I understand the ratings issue, but if *I* were worried that I were a girl, my adam's apple wouldn't be what *I* would grab for.
I still want a better ending for Donna.
And more resolution for Jack. I think I'll just assume he and Ten had some chance to talk between this and the end of CoE. Otherwise, it's just confusing.
I've decided that Tom Milligan died in riots to protect children at the end of CoE.
If "Geronimo" is Eleven's catchphrase, I *will* break something.
The Master, you were awesome. Well done, Sir.
In conclusion: fabulous episode, beautiful death.
